Our school is delighted to be taking part in Scoil Spreagtha, a programme designed to encourage the use of the Irish language in primary schools across Northern Ireland.
Already, we have been blown away by how much our pupils have learned! Each class have been using their “cúpla focal” and learning different words and phrases, from saying good morning, naming the colours and even the body parts, to using their beautiful manners in Irish too! Some of our boys and girls have even been telling us that their mummies, daddies, grandparents and other family members have been teaching them even more Irish at home!
This morning, we had a lovely visit from Eirinn from the Scoil Spreagtha team. She was so impressed with the work our pupils are doing as we work towards accreditation. She delivered a brilliant workshop to our primary 3 children and was so truly impressed with each and every one of them!
