Year 7 and 6 pupils spent a brilliant day with Roisin Gallagher Killen who introduced the Youth Enterprise programme. Pupils looked at how trade is conducted across the globe and where products are made. They learned about import and export and how to make a profit! Then they played a trading game in teams. They obtained loans from the bank organised by Mr O'Doherty and bought resources from Miss McDaid who organised the shop. Then the teams went into mass production and sold their products to Mrs Gallagher killen. Each team represented a country. Austria made the most profit but Bolivia came a close second with very little resources. Their team showed that hard work pays! The pupils co-operated so well in teams and are ready to meet local entrepreneurs next before facing the Dragons Den themselves!
