Drawing God Day 9th November 2020
Last year children in the Derry Diocese sent in more images than anywhere else for the Drawing God site. I know teachers also felt the conversations they had with the children were so important. This year we are inviting schools, parishes and families-adults and children to draw God and share the images. The author of the book, Karen Kiefer, has recorded a special message for the diocese.

Sacramental Preparation

An evening talk on the Sacraments for Parents-there are new booklets available for families.
The Sacramental Talks Team can deliver an evening of Sacramental preparation for families through a parish webcam or the Catechetical Centre webcam. Prior to the talk a pack will be sent home via the schools/parish to each family. The pack will contain a booklet for families and activities for the children.
Format of the evening talk
- Time of prayer for children and parents together
- Children work on activity
- Presentation for parents using the Sacramental Preparation Books for families:
Friends of Jesus for the sacraments of First Reconciliation; and
First Holy Communion and Disciples of Jesus for the sacrament of Confirmation.
